Volume filling with tissue fillers
With wrinkle injections, fillers are injected directly under the wrinkles. The wrinkles are filled in and significantly reduced. The tissue regains its supporting and smoothing effect.
Non-degradable ("non-absorbable") substances should not be used.
The general risks of treatment with hyaluronic acid and a result that does not meet your personal expectations cannot be ruled out.
| Goal | Reduction of wrinkles on the face, neck or décolleté by filling with hyaluronic acid Restoration of volume (cheeks/cheekbones/lips) and filling of deep wrinkles, dents, sunken areas of the face |
|---|---|
| Treatment area | entire face |
| Product | Preferably hyaluronic acid |
| Duration of treatment | approx. 15 to 30 minutes |
| Pain | Depending on the region, slight puncture and pressure pain, followed by local anaesthesia and pain relief thanks to the local anaesthetic contained in the product |
| Scars | None |
| Social and labour skills | Usually immediately after the treatment, for larger treatments on the following day |
| Duration of action/durability | 4-18 months |
| Risks | Injury to vessels and nerves; General treatment risks (infection); Unsatisfactory cosmetic result; |
| Side effects | Redness, small punctiform haematomas (bruising) and/or swelling at the injection sites for 2 to 7 days |
This method uses the body's own fat, which is harvested under local or general anaesthetic in a similar way to liposuction.
During liposuction, the fat is suctioned out of areas with excess fat, processed and then injected into the corresponding area of the face. Only small amounts are required for the facial area. Unfortunately, the removal sites do not "benefit" much from the removed fat. The injection must be repeated once or twice at intervals of a few weeks or months to achieve the desired result, as some (30-40%) of the autologous fat is broken down by the body.
After wrinkle injection with autologous fat, extreme facial movements should be avoided to prevent the fat from shifting. Swelling and bruising will subside after four to ten days. Sun and sport should be avoided for at least three weeks. Disadvantage of this method: Compared to other injections, this wrinkle treatment is significantly more time-consuming and leaves marks that can last for several days. However, the end result is permanent.
There are usually no complications when using the body's own substances; minor bruising is normal. Due to the small amounts of fat removed, the physical strain is minimal. However, in rare cases, lumps or fat nodules (so-called oil cysts) and asymmetries may occur. Otherwise, the same risks apply as with liposuction. The general treatment risks and an unsatisfactory aesthetic result are not excluded.
| Effect | Reduction of wrinkles on the face, neck or décolleté by filling with hyaluronic acid Restoration of volume (cheeks/cheekbones/lips) |
|---|---|
| Treatment area | entire face, preferably deep wrinkles, dents, sunken facial areas |
| Product | The body's own fat |
| Duration of treatment | approx. 1 hour, outpatient |
| Anaesthesia | Local anaesthesia or general anaesthesia |
| Pain | Rather low |
| Scars | None |
| Social and labour skills | After 5-14 days |
| Duration of action/durability | Permanent, but over a year after treatment volume loss of 30 % due to resorption, one-off refresher ("touch up") after 8-12 months often useful |
| Risks | General treatment risks, possibly anaesthesia risk; Unsatisfactory cosmetic result |
| Side effects | Redness, small punctiform haematomas (bruising) and/or swelling at the injection sites for 2 to 7 days |

Many patients who have opted for wrinkle injections in Berlin share consistently positive experiences. The combination of natural results and a comparatively gentle treatment is particularly appreciated. Whether with hyaluronic acid fillers, autologous fat (lipofilling) or in combination with Botox - wrinkles are visibly smoothed and the face appears fresher and more harmonious without losing any of its naturalness.
