Botox® is one of the best-known and most popular methods of treating wrinkles. It is a neurotoxin that is injected in small doses directly into the facial muscles. There it blocks the nerve impulses and thus relaxes the muscles. This reduces wrinkles and makes the skin appear smoother and fresher.
Botox® has a wide range of applications. It is mainly used to treat expression lines on the face, such as frown lines between the eyebrows, forehead wrinkles or crow's feet. Botox® can also be used to treat excessive sweating.
Compared to other wrinkle treatments such as fillers or lasers, Botox® has the advantage that it has a targeted and localised effect and the results are visible relatively quickly. In addition, Botox® is a very safe and well-tolerated method that generally has no significant side effects.

Botox® can be used precisely in different areas of the face. Botox® is particularly effective for wrinkles caused by repeated muscle activity. Frequently treated areas include
1. forehead wrinkles:
Gentle smoothing of horizontal lines on the forehead caused by frequent frowning or facial expressions.
2. crow's feet:
Refines the fine lines at the outer corners of the eyes, which are particularly visible when smiling or blinking.
3. frown lines:
Reduction of the vertical lines between the eyebrows, which appear when the eyes are tense or concentrated and often make the facial expression look severe.
4. lower eyelid wrinkles:

5. folds at the corners of the mouth:
Treatment of wrinkles and depressions in the corners of the mouth, which can become more pronounced with age. In particular, a slight lifting of the corners of the mouth can be achieved. Often in combination with hyaluronic acid fillers.
6. vertical upper lip wrinkles ("smoker's lines or barcode wrinkles"):
Reduction of the lines between the nose and upper lip. The smallest amount in repeated application helps best here.
